Yesterday afternoon, I brought my PC to the technician, and today, I got news.

The fact is that my 40 GB hard drive (the C) is dead and needs to be changed. By chance, the technician has a spare HDD who is similar to the old one. So, he won't have to install Windows on my D (200 GB) I use to store my personal data.

If he had to do it (use the big one), my Mom would have brought her external HDD to transfer my data before the format is done.

Because the computer is lent to me by the Régie de l'assurance-maladie (kind of public health insurance office we have in Québec), Mom asked the techie to give us back the old HDD, so we can send the computer back to Québec with the old HDD when it will be time to do it, because when we send back, we have to send it with the original materials it came with, and keep the ones we added.

So, the new HDD will be installed then formatted, and Windows and programs will be installed, so my computer will be ready tomorrow afternoon.
