Yeah stay with phpbb2, phpbb3 is still in RC mode (its up to RC7!!!!) plus from experience a tiny HTML change can make the whole forum unusable, I don't know why!!!

Lately, one of my French colleagues was talking about making a CMS website with Joomla! who's a GNU free software, and today she gave links and screenshots to show us how the board module looks

I've used Joomla before, don't go there. It is really complicated- only use it if you know what you are doing its pretty much impossible to delete once you've installed it (except if you install it thru Fantastico).

I suggest MKPortal- it's the one I am using and its pretty easy to use. Plus it integrates well with phpbb and SMF (Joomla cannot be integrated with SMF anymore as the bridge was discontinued).

although you may no longer support forumotion.com(as in help the help board) and may no longer have time to offer forumotion styles and what not.

there is no reason you cant keep your forum where it's at, and still have it grow into what you want.

More, I'm right into reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

I began to learn PHP/MySQL, but I'm feeling that I won't be ready to move after all. When I sent this newsletter, I did it under fear, because I left the FM team and removed my tutorials (who are now copyrighted), and I was afraid of possible reactions (getting mad, etc.). I easily get paranoid.

The only issue with moving is that you would loose 7000 odd posts, but then its good to have a fresh makeover...

Yes. The fact is that I have read them only in French, so I can't imagine myself reading the vol. 7 in English without having read the previous ones.

About your idea about an Arabic section, it won't be very possible : I don't speak this language, so it will be hard for me to watch the activities of an Arabic section. It is my responsibility to ensure nothing illegal is posted. If I don't speak a language, how can I see if a member posts under this language about downloading a cracked version of Photoshop for example ?

Arabic? I didnt think there were many arabic sites out there... it would be difficult as arabic sites are back to front. if we were to make it trilinguical, german, chinese or japanese would be a good language to add on.
