Reactivating the Google ads ?

As you might have noticed, the Google ads are disabled on this board since yesterday morning.

Actually, I didn't do anything for this. I learned that it is a decision of Forumotion to disable the ads by default for free on English boards and keep them only on French boards. (the French side is 10 times larger than the foreign side) However, I can choose to reactivate them anytime.

Because some people might not like the fact that there is almost no space under the navlinks, and they might prefer the board with the ads, I open this poll so we can decide if we reactivate them or not.

The issue is open !

Comme vous l'aviez peut-être constaté, les pubs Google sont désactivées sur ce forum depuis hier matin.

En réalité, je n'ai rien fait du tout pour ça. J'ai su que c'est une décision de Forumactif de les désactiver gratuitement par défaut sur les forums anglais et de les garder seulement sur les forums français. (le côté français est 10 fois plus gros que le côté étranger). Cependant, je peux choisir de les réactiver n'importe quand.

Étant donné que certains pourraient être gênés par le fait d'avoir les liens de navigation trop "collés" au forum et qu'ils pourraient préférer avoir les pubs activées, j'ouvre ce sondage pour qu'on puisse décider si on réactive ou non les pubs.

Uhm, this is concerning me. I paid to rid the site of ads and now they are removing them for free!

Who would I PM or email to see if I can get some kind of refund?

I just don't care of those ads anyway. Au fait, ils gagnent aux affichages ou au taux ? Simple question, lapidez-moi pas...

Kilsek and Mael : Only the technicians can answer. For now, I won't ask them, I'm on a strike right now (for another issue which is not related to this at all, other volontary staff members are doing the same)

To be honest, I really don't care if the ads or there or not. I just treat them as another unwanted piece of text on the page and I only bother clicking when necessary.

If, however, they were picture ads, I would agree with there removal. Picture ads look like graffiti and are horrible; text ads look like normal text.

However, I clicked "yes" as I am used to them being there and I do click them from time to time.

BY the way I voted no. Many of the ads have no relation to your boards topics. They pull key woards for the site and match ads to those words.

But now that the ads are disabled on all the forums, why aren't we allowed to put our own google ads in the place the old ones were?
